The Evolution of Lifestyle on Earth From a young age we are taught that necessity is the mother of invention. Our product range has been an evolution as a result of many different lifestyles. Lifestyles so extreme, so unpredictable that specialist equipment and clothing has always been required. Our range of products has evolved over the years due to our on-going contact with adventurers, the outdoors, athletes, multi-sporters and people who want to live and travel in comfort. The Nevada Sport Story From downhill to up mountain, boots 'n all. Nevada Sport Ltd was established in 1978 by Hamish Cochran and the focus was to bring to the New Zealand market highly technical products, that perform. Initially these were ski products, and Hamish pioneered in New Zealand, Freestyle Skiing, Telemark Skiing, Cross Country Skiing and Snowboarding. Nevada Sport introduced the Head range of products to New Zealand and in the 90’s recognised changes in lifestyles as communication, I.T., travel accelerated, while leisure time became more precious. As lifestyles changed, we introduced more versatile products that reflect this faster pace of life. The business is situated on 80 acres right on the edge of Christchurch, nice and close to the mountains. Keeping up with the latest overseas trends, Nevada Sport made a progressive change in the 90’s to focus on the outdoor, travel and leisure market.
