About The Nia Project Kansas City

The Nia Project Kansas City champions success for Black girls and women in the Greater Kansas City area. We support projects that build confidence, capacity and opportunity through programming, partnerships and advocacy. Since 2018 we have hosted our signature program, "Black Women Get Fit" A Health & Wellness experience for Black Women. BWGF has two primary goals, 1. We identify Black women owned businesses that have expertise in physical fitness, mental wellness or faith-based topics to lead workshops for the community. 2. We introduce a variety of health & wellness experiences to help address the constant challenge of staying focused and committed to your wellness goals! In addition to BWGF, we offer a wide array of community support including: * Thank A Teacher Campaign * The Beloved Community - A Black Nonprofit Resource Directory * The 1st Annual Black Nonprofit Leadership Symposium * Our Collective Work * Contending for Children Initiative focused on literacy & mental wellness for youth and more....
