About The Nonsense Maker

The Nonsense Maker creates a range of hand illustrated products including greeting cards, art prints, artist tea towels, stationery and gifts. Reminiscent of etching techniques used by old-time illustrators, all products are hand drawn with very fine point pen, and then digitally coloured using fade-resistant pigment ink. Each piece can take anywhere between 5 and 50 hours, and is designed and produced in our little studio in Brunswick, Melbourne. The Nonsense Maker is inspired by artist Emily May's adventuring alter ego, along with Melbourne’s many hidden secrets. With the help of her business partner Sidonie, the brand has grown into a bold, fun, and cheeky collection of peculiar imagery where little is what it seems.
