About The Ohana Project
End‑to‑End Real Estate & Moving Support for Families and Loved Ones. We guide you through every step of downsizing and relocation—with compassion, structure, and care. Ohana is more than a word—it embodies deep connection, care, and responsibility. At The Ohana Project, we live this value daily. Founded by Laura Mansfield, our team marries project management precision with emotional intelligence to ease life's transitions. We offer full-service support for individuals and families downsizing their homes: from customized planning and decluttering, to staging, vendor coordination, real estate sales, and emotional guidance through every step. Our approach blends heart and structure. Born from Laura’s own experience helping her aging parents downsize after 40+ years, we uniquely address the emotional as well as logistical aspects often overlooked by other services. Cultural Acknowledgment & Giving Back We honor the Native Hawaiian origins of the word ʻohana, which carries deep cultural meaning rooted in care, interconnection, and shared responsibility. These values are central to our mission and how we serve families during times of transition. While The Ohana Project is not based in Hawai‘i, our name was inspired by time spent there and a deep respect for the way elders, ancestors, and community are honored. We use this name with humility, intention, and reverence for its roots. As part of our ongoing commitment to give back, we donate 5% of our net proceeds to organizations that preserve and uplift Native Hawaiian culture and communities. We are proud to support the PAʻI Foundation, which champions traditional Hawaiian arts, language, and cultural practice. ‘Ohana means family. Family means no one gets left behind—or forgotten.” —A Hawaiian Proverb
