About The Onsite Coach
Occupational sitting, standing and manual handling solutions. We create personalised training and staff care onsite and online that your people will love and use. We train on your equipment and your site. Ever watched the new guy pick up a hammer or shovel knowing full well he has no idea how or what to do with it? Everyone learns on the job right? Well.... wrong. We learn what we repeatedly do and if we start out wrong chances are it will end badly. As a young, green, full of beans roof tiler and scaffolder I was inducted onsite with the comment from the leading hand to the boss at the end of the day "If he turns up tomorrow we'll keep him". Its this Rocky IV attitude ("If he dies he dies") that has to change. The Onsite Coach began as a side program to running a gym and cafe full-time. It was constructed for frustrated business owners constantly experiencing staff on light duties for manual handling injuries. It is presumed that people know how to protect their bodies as they lift, carry and hold. As a weightlifting coach I can tell you most do not. PRESUMPTION IS AN INJURY WAITING TO HAPPEN. Your staff may not be athletes but to the body, muscles do not differentiate work from sport. WORK IS WORK and the body needs to work well and recovery. Just like a car needs basic maintenance like water, fuel and oil to operate well so do our bodies. The body needs the basics to be looked after or over time it will need a mechanic. We cover training packages for: Onsite manual handling. - Body mechanics - Lift, carry and hold in the workplace - Team lifts - Daily body maintenance and self care Occupational siting and standing. - Sit, stand, recover - Not all sitting is bad - Dynamic desk set up - Daily body maintenance and self care Make the common tasks executed uncommonly well. Get a tailored manual handling induction program and keep your staff stronger for longer. Call for a quick chat about how we can change the
