About The Parachute Foundation
The Parachute Foundation is a non-profit 501 (c) 3 public charity dedicated to supporting patients and their families in financial crisis land softly through specific funding initiative's. These funding programs will serve the University Of Minnesota Masonic Children's Hospital and The Retreat in Wayzata. The Parachute Program is designed to support families in financial hardship identified by the social workers team at the U of M Masonic Children's Hospital get the extra help they need including, lodging to be near a sick child, meals for caregivers, hospital parking fees, gas and transportation, lost wages, and child care for siblings. The Parachute Program will assist those families in crisis by reducing the barriers that limit parents presence at the bedside of their critically ill child. With the Retreat in Wayzata The Parachute Foundation is establishing the Roger B scholarship program to support those men and women in recovery get the extra financial support they need to continue their recovery. These micro scholarships will help defray the cost of additional recovery resources provided by The Retreat's after care programs.
