The Paradise Cooperative, a charity based in Wandsworth, stands as a testament to the transformative power of community engagement and dedication. Over the past decade, our committed team of volunteers has transformed an abandoned piece of land into a vibrant and ecologically diverse community garden. Our mission is to enrich the live of local people, supporting our community to connect with nature and others, through sustainable urban growing. We have established a thriving volunteer programme that emphasises environmental education and grow food with our community, for our community. All produce, grown using sustainable methods, is donated to local social enterprises through our Community Food Initiative. Weekly Mindful Growing sessions encourage wellbeing through connection with nature and others. Through our pioneering schools programme, Paradise Learning, we work with local schools to providing nature inspired learning opportunities for thousands of children across Wandsworth each year.
