About The Peruvian Student Association
This organization has the following three purposes: 1. Bring together Peruvian students, as well as anyone interested in the Peruvian culture, and give them a sense of community. This organization would be a way to represent the body of Peruvian students. 2. Express and help preserve the Peruvian culture, as well as give a sense of validation to Peruvian traditions outside of Peru. Through meetings as well as bigger events, the organization aims to educate not only it's members but any student at Penn State about the culture, ethics, entertainment, language, gastronomy, sociopolitical events, and history of Peru. 3. Lastly, the organization hopes to help incoming Peruvian students, both graduate and undergraduate. The Peruvian Student Organization would be a support system, a place to seek help in case of there being difficulties in adjusting to the culture lived in the US.
