About The Pit
Founded in 2014 by artists Adam D. Miller and Devon Oder, The Pit is a contemporary art gallery representing emerging and mid-career artists who work in a variety of mediums, with an on-going focus of promoting cross-generational conversations between historical and emerging artists. The Pit also organizes wide-ranging group exhibitions both in-house and off-site and publishes an ongoing series of Risograph artists’ books and editions. Housed in a former mechanic's shop in the Los Angeles region, The Pit has four galleries with concurrent exhibitions. In 2021 The Pit opened a secondary gallery location in Palm Springs CA. The 1,000 square foot gallery is located in the downtown area, across the street from the Palm Springs Art Museum. The Pit is a gallery member of New Art Dealers Alliance.
