The Pop Group Ltd creates, sells and markets ethical merchandise for bands (Carter USM, Jim Bob, “Abdoujaparov, Pop Will Eat Itself, Loup Garoux, Senseless Things, Mozart Estate, Felt and Sultans Of Ping.) The USP of The Pop Group is to recreate original nineties merchandise and to do it as accurately as we can. Fans love to buy their favourite old shirts that they have lost, grown out of or are looking a bit old and tired. We give them what they used to own and love, but in an eco way. We print all clothing on ethical material (organic cotton, fair trade approved, wind generated factories) that are premium quality (hand printed and finished). Music lovers have really bought into this ethical ethos and every re-release of a t-shirt is seen as an event in itself. T-shirts are a huge chunk of the business, but we have also expanded into other items such as hoodies, beanies, caps, mugs, socks and even tea towels. All are done to an exceptionally high standard with premium quality being of paramount importance. The Pop Group set up, design and run the online shop, replicate the designs, pay for the shirts and do all the fulfilment. We work closely with the bands, and propose merchandise items to them with collaboration on social media promotion and advertising. As well as working on old merchandise we have recently expanded to work with artists that are current and who are producing new material. I
