The Prescott Group, LLC (www.prescott-group.com) is a New York-based commercial real estate investment and asset management firm with domestic and international investors, both private and institutional. The firm was co-founded in 1987 by its two senior principals, Theodore R. Gamble, Jr. and Susan L. Stupin. Its primary operating subsidiaries are Prescott Capital Management, LLC and Prescott Capital Advisors, LLC. The firm is both an emerging manager and a woman-owned firm. Prescott offers a range of investment formats, including separate accounts; joint ventures, and diversified portfolio investments. A Prescott entity serves as the GP of its investments, typically structured as LP's or LLC's. Prescott invests in individual properties, portfolios, and operating entities. Prescott also does strategic advisory and investment banking work. A sampling includes: − Refinancing or selling assets, portfolios and operating entities; − Asset, portfolio and ownership interest valuations; − Ownership restructuring analyses, in light of tax, accounting, operating, and capital markets issues; − Debt restructurings; − Refining operating strategies; − M&A and IPO advisory; − Opinion letters; − Development counseling for corporations creating and financing strategic facilities; − Specialized expertise in retail and hotel assets, portfolios and platforms; − Advising family groups; We provide asset management services to our own investments and selectively to third parties, many of whom are offshore investors, family groups, etc. We also work with offshore and domestic investors in the early stages of establishing or expanding a US real estate investment platform to design and execute investment strategies and asset manage these holdings. We also assist our investors in optimizing the tax and accounting aspects of these investments. This work also creates future partnering opportunities for Prescott.
