Our stones are set as is in jewelry, typically by socially conscious jewelers or individuals who want to create a piece of custom jewelry from the ground up. We are passionate about gemstones and jewelry, and believe that consumers and jewelers alike should have access to high quality, ethical, and traceable gemstones and diamonds. In order to source our inventory, we perform thorough research, deep due diligence, and secure strong relationships with industry luminaries. Living wages, humane treatment of workers, safety, education, and the absence of child labor are all key principles of the mines and lapidaries that we work with. We supply diamonds and gemstones to both independent jewelers and individuals. A note about our sourcing philosophy: Diamonds: We source all our rough diamonds from siteholders and industry luminaries who we trust, and who can trace the stones back to their country of origin. Raw diamonds that are uncut are much easier to trace, as they are not mixed with other parcels in order to be polished. Gemstones: Most of our gemstones come from the Tanzania Women's Mining Association, an organization in Tanzania that pools together small scale miners, empowers women to work in mining, and educates miners on safe and ethical mining practices. When we are unable to supply gemstones from Tanzania, we work directly with mines and gem cutters throughout the world who are dedicated to modern and ethical mining and cutting practices.
