About The Real Sound Company
We are the new normal after mono & stereo sound. We make acoustic sound quality to loudspeaker manufacturers with Imerz® - a patented algorithm on a chip that can easily and cost efficiently be integrated in loudspeakers & headphones. Unlike existing mono & stereo sound in loudspeakers, our algorithm provides spacial sound that solves the constraints with stereo and mono, and provides acoustic sound quality. We make acoustic sound quality that works with the acoustic space and like a real-world, acoustic sound source. It has no sweet spot, no sound shadows, no need for space calibration or EQ, and the listener can get an even listening experience regardless of position from the speaker. Imerz® reproduces sound input making a natural, rich, detailed and immersive sound that works with the acoustic space, reproduces stereo and moves dynamically and virtually in the acoustic space. The algorithm lets the input sound come from many positions on a virtual surface, when the chip’s output is sent to the loudspeaker drivers. This is just like an instrument’s resonant box, and the result is a sound similar to acoustic sound. The listener gets the same good sound experience anywhere in the acoustic space with as little as only one loudspeaker. Behind the idea With more than 40 years experience as musician, composer and lecturer at major international universities, Lars Graugaard experienced the limitations with stereo and pursued the idea of finding a better alternative, he filed patent for his unique algorithm in 2021 making it possible to move on from stereo and make acoustic sound quality through a DSP chip integrated into loudspeakers. Lars Graugaard has a background as MA in flute performance from The Royal Danish Academy for Music. He is a versatile musician and composer with roots in both classical and improvised music as well as computer-based composition and real-time music.
