The Remittances Innovation Awards (RemTECH Awards) were developed to showcase the most innovative and outstanding technological ideas designed to improve remittance services worldwide. The award winners are companies, groups, collectives or individuals that come up with ground-breaking solutions that benefit the market ecosystem, improving transparency, speed, cost and reliability for the companies and end-users that send and receive remittances every day. The competition is open to contestants from all over the world. Entries receive votes from the public and a judging panel of industry colleagues selects the nominated entries and the winners. A number of categories have been set up to help entrants determine the best attributes of their entries and help the Judges in evaluating them: End User Experience, Social Impact, Marketing-Advertising, Innovative Agent Solution, Back-Office Solution/ FX Management/ Treasury/ Customer Service, RegTech/ Compliance/ KYC/ AML/ CTF, Social Impact and Business Service / B2B-B2P-P2B. We also have an OPEN category for the out-of-the-box ideas that can’t fit in any other mold. The Judging Criteria has been based in the following characteristics: Originality, Creativity & Intent - Functionality & Technical Qualities - Ease of Use & Adoption - Game-changer – Impact - Integration & Performance - Sustainability & Potential for Growth - Popularity (in the voting process)
