About The Renaissance International School
The mission of The Renaissance International school is to provide children with an international center of learning and culture that is open, supportive and multidisciplinary where children can develop and achieve their highest potential. Founded in 1992 by Leslie Hites, The Renaissance International School (TRIS) is an independent Montessori school located in Oakland's Dimond district. Our program includes French, English, and Spanish language immersion. The Montessori curriculum explores the realms of mathematics, literature, the sciences, history, geography, and the arts including: - The European model of unified math, beginning algebra, geometry and logic to children as young as three. - An emphasis on history, geography and world culture. - Botany.zoology.physics, chemistry, earth science and astronomy. - The renowned Hungarian Kodaly music program, as well as a comprehensive Fine Arts program. We provide a high-quality education designed so that children from 2 years through 6th grade become compassionate, capable, confident, creative individuals who are prepared for life.
