The Repatterning Collective was established to help build people's skill & capacity to 'solve for pattern' - what we might call pattern literacy. Many ask themselves these days how we can meet this convoluted moment, as a number of converging environmental and societal crises have us increasingly spiral out of control. Some even wonder if we can meet the moment at all. The crises may feel too deep and convoluted, the drivers fueling them too strong for our actions to make a meaningful difference. Not in the least as our modern societies are entrenched in systems and behaviours that hinder effective responses to systemic risks. And these structures in themselves are sustained by culture, relationships, and power - what we call “patterns”. If we don’t work at the level of underlying patterns & dynamics, we’re at risk of merely scaling broken models. We're creating a pipeline of exploratory & applied practice to hone our natural ability for and deepen our understanding of repatterning, as a critical component of transformation for the liminal times we're in. This currently includes interactive dialogues, in which we jointly conduct sensemaking through the lenses of Historical Patterns & Dynamics, Human Psychology, and Imagination/Counterfactuals, translating this into ways to reclaim agency and repattern. As well as a sandbox & series of learning sessions which spotlight approaches and praxis to Co-create with the More than Human.
