Good results speak for themselves, but only to the ones that look in that direction. And if the results speak for themselves, then so can I. So, who is the best person who can help me to make my manager see me? How do I educate myself on this specific topic: #personalbrand ? I bought some📚 on personal branding and I started to do all those exercises. I was on a mission: I really wanted my manager to see me. The results of those boring exercises came in quickly: a month after my mid-year meeting with my manager, he came to me and apologised for the review. He said it was rushed and it didn't reflect the value I brought to the table. I got more responsibilities and was involved in more interesting projects. ❗️I even got my manager to find ways of promoting me. Out of the blue, I had potential! 💪🏻 I was hard working and a reliable member of the team. 🤩WOW! All I did was to push my results to other people's throats: 1️⃣I enjoyed every new chat with people I knew in my company or other new people, from other departments. 2️⃣ I squeezed in my work in those chats. 3️⃣And I told them what I am working on. 4️⃣I told them what I would love to educate myself on. 5️⃣ I told them that many of my ideas were implemented already. And I collected all the exercises that really worked: tried and tested on myself and I created a course: how to make small changes at work that make you more valuable? No non-sense, only quick exercise, along with real life examples on how to use them. They already worked on me.
