Girls resort to using newspaper, corn husks, cotton, or rags to manage their menstruation. The discomfort and fear of soiling their clothing forces girls to stay home leaving her behind in her studies, often leading to school drop out and sometimes early marriages. You can help change that. A donation of $25 will give a girl what she needs to take care of her periods for 3 years! The Restoration Hem Project partners with local schools, churches, and communities to distribute reusable sanitary pad kits and present a feminine health seminar. Our goal is to give every girl the information and the pads she needs to manage her periods and create an environment where girls feel free to learn and share about a topic which is often taboo and avoided in their culture.
