About The Right to be Hopped
The Right to be Hopped is a "brew bono" project initiated by Paul Hauser, Falco Kreis and Stefan Kirsten. As lawyers and good friends, the three of us share (at least) two passions: one for dispute resolution and one for craft beer. With the Right to be Hopped, we intend to reconcile both – and at the same time help people in urgent need of free access to justice. For this purpose we have brewed an “Arbitrary Amber Ale” in a small Franconian brewery. We offer this beer free of charge but encourage happy users to make a donation to the European Lawyers in Lesvos (ELIL) in exchange. ELIL is a non-profit organisation that provides legal advice to refugees stranded in Greece and Poland. In this important task, ELIL is supported not only by numerous bar associations and law firms, but also by Berit Reiss-Andersen, President of the Nobel Peace Prize Committee and Chair of the ELIL Board.
