About The RISE Collective
THROUGH CREATIVE ARTS & MEDIA RISE BUILDS COLLECTIVES OF YOUNG PEOPLE WHO ARE AT THE FOREFRONT OF SOCIAL CHANGE & CREATING THEIR OWN FUTURES. ONE OF OUR STRENGTHS COMES FROM THE INVOLVEMENT OF YOUNG PEOPLE THROUGHOUT EVERYTHING WE DO. Founded in 2016 RISE runs creative skills development projects, produces inspirational live events and offers mentorship, work experience, employment and networking opportunities. Our projects have all been co-designed to be replicable and scalable - with a view to these being delivered by trained young people in the future, throughout the UK and beyond. Our aims are as follows: SOCIAL CHANGE: For marginalised young people to recognise they have the individual and collective power to make change and are actively contributing towards the betterment of society. AMPLIFIED VOICES: For the voices of marginalised young people to be amplified, acknowledged and influential throughout society. SELF-EMPOWERMENT: For marginalised young people to have agency over their own futures by creating and engaging in opportunities that develop their skills, strengthen their autonomy and enrich their lives.
