About The Rising International Ministries
The Rising was officially founded in 2019 by Leah Malone after 6 years of integral work in the region. Our mission is to bring hope to the Philippines island of Mindanao by teaching, serving, and empowering indigenous people groups. We operate a residential home in Cagayan De Oro offering scholarships for girls from marginalized tribal villages to be able to pursue higher education through college. Meanwhile, we partner with local pastors in those same villages to strengthen the churches and develop their leaders. We teach literacy classes, train women and youth in personal development, provide medical care, build livelihoods utilizing local indigenous products, and offer discipleship across all ages. We envision that every person we encounter would find strength and hope in Jesus Christ to rise up and follow him, resulting in life transformation that brings both healing to the past and purpose for the future. We believe present circumstances do not have to determine future success. You can always rise above.
