Our criminal defense work is sophisticated and diverse, from securities, bank, and medical-services fraud to money laundering, public corruption, major RICO trials, and complex transnational narcotics cases involving extraditions of our clients to the United States from foreign countries. We handle a broad variety of civil litigation in business disputes and also in cases of death or serious personal injury. Our commercial and tort litigation involves such matters as breach of contract, unpaid commissions, defamation, non-compete restrictions, Lanham Act claims, unfair trade practices, and intra-entity matters such as partnership and minority-shareholder relations. In addition, we represent clients in compliance, regulatory, and enforcement matters in the areas of export controls, import regulation, foreign assets controls and economic sanctions, and the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. And we advise and assist clients in transactional matters, including international business transactions. We represented the first professional rugby team in Atlanta in its start-up operations, including by obtaining immigration authorization for all its foreign players.
