The Ross Center was established by visionary anxiety specialist Jerilyn Ross, whose own struggle with mental illness inspired her to create a world-class mental health center for others whose lives have been disrupted by anxiety and depression. After receiving treatment for her own anxiety and phobia, she cofounded the Anxiety Disorders Association of America (ADAA) in 1979. We pride ourselves on keeping up with the latest research and providing the best practices to our patients and their families. As anxiety and depression rates have skyrocketed, the need for short-term, effective treatment for mental health disorders has grown. We’ve responded to that need with expanding mental health centers in Washington DC, Northern Virginia, and New York City.
