The Royal Bath & West of England Society was formed in 1777 to promote and encourage agriculture, manufacture, commerce and arts & rural crafts for education and knowledge transfer. These founding principals are as true today as then with The Society leading and supporting a range of charitable activities across the West of England. The famous three-day agricultural show has called The Bath & West Showground in the heart of rural Somerset home for the last 50 years. The Society also organises a number of other major agricultural & rural shows, details for which can be found at www.bathandwest.com. Across a site of over 240 acres in sight of the majestic mendips, The Showground is an exceptional destination for over a million people a year; a unique, inspiring venue that plays host to a diverse range of third party indoor and outdoor events.
