About The Ruth Vrobel Foundation

The B’emeitavi Foundation, named after Ruth Vrobel, was established in 2012 by the Vrobel and Schneider families in memory of Mrs. Ruth Vrobel. Her extensive work for the community and her generous giving to others inspired the creation of the foundation Our vision A society where all elderly and chronically ill individuals have access to a supportive community, minimizing isolation, and enhancing their quality of life. Our mission: To address loneliness, improve quality of life and health, and build supportive communities. The Challenge: Approximately 75% of Israeli citizens over the age of 65 are diagnosed with at least one chronic illness, many of whom suffer from the loneliness epidemic. The Solution Connecting students from the healthcare professions with the elderly and chronically ill for a meaningful, personal connection based largely on alleviating loneliness, mapping needs, and adapting optimal solutions. Through the CHIBUK project, we create value for the individual patient and the student, (the future caregiver). The CHIBUK Project also creates community, social, and health value for Israeli society.
