The Sales Group is a 2nd generation manufacturers rep firm, with 2024 marking our 45th Anniversary. Founded in 1979 by Jay Dougherty, the team is still led by his son Jeff Dougherty, and long time partner James Dozois. Combining for almost 50 years of independent sales rep experience, Jeff and James have built The Sales Group into a team-oriented agency. Our ethical approach and professionalism has earned us a reputable position in the market with our customers, manufacturers, architects, and designers. Each member of the agency has been well trained and certified by our various manufacturers. We participate in dealer events, CEU Training for AIA and ASID/IDCEC, and distributor sales meetings. We participate in the International Builders Show, National Kitchen and Bath Show (KBIS), International Contemporary Furniture Fair, and Architectural Digest Show. We are members of Decorative Plumbing and Hardware Association (DPHA). Today we represent some of the industry’s premier manufacturers ranging from Maine to Virginia. Preparation, presentation, perseverance and pursuit of the order with effective follow through are what make us a successful agency. This work ethic is incorporated into our daily business.
