About The Sapphic Space

The Sapphic Space is a Community Interest Company dedicated to creating safe, inclusive, and joyful spaces for queer women (trans-inclusive) and non-binary people who love women. We exist to reduce isolation, build meaningful connections, and celebrate our community through events, education, and shared experiences. We currently run events in Glasgow and Edinburgh, ranging from social nights and workshops to creative sessions and community gatherings. These provide opportunities for friendship, learning, and empowerment while strengthening visibility for sapphic and queer people. We also collaborate with local partners, independent businesses, and grassroots organisations to create opportunities that benefit both our members and the wider LGBTQ+ community. Everything we do is designed to bring people together in spaces where they can feel seen, supported, and celebrated. We work hard to ensure our events are welcoming and inclusive, and we are committed to continually improving accessibility so that more people can take part. As a not-for-profit organisation, any surplus is reinvested back into our activities to expand our impact and sustain our mission. Our vision is to build a strong, connected, and visible sapphic community where individuals can thrive, knowing they are part of something bigger than themselves.
