About The SASinema Film Society
The Film Society, reinstated in 2023 after its dissolution during the COVID-19 pandemic, unites high school students around filmmaking opportunities that are not directly linked to academic courses or undertaken in support of school clubs, programs, and activities. Under the direction of four active officers, executive producers of film projects assemble cast and crew to create films of any genre, length, and content. In addition to film production endeavors, The Film Society also organizes and runs the annual end-of-year SASinema Film Festival alongside cultural outings, speakers, and screenings that inspire SAS students in the area of film production and spectatorship.
