About The ScienceSIS
The ScienceSIS Foundation Inc. is a nonprofit based in Jacksonville, Florida dedicated to sparking confidence and curiosity in the next generation of innovators. We create free and accessible STEM experiences for K–6 students and families, with a focus on empowering underrepresented girls to see themselves as future scientists, engineers, and leaders. Our programs include monthly STEM Meetups, Women in STEM community events, the 50 5s tutoring initiative, and our flagship Galaxy Fest, a city-wide science festival that brings thousands together for hands-on learning, live shows, and career inspiration. Through fellowships, volunteer opportunities, and partnerships, we connect students with role models in STEM and create pathways that close opportunity gaps.
