About The Scientific Foundation of the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences

The Scientific Foundation of the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences (Foundation) was established in October 2019, and will serve to enhance science and technological development in the technical field of science, the scientific field of traffic and transport technologies in the Republic of Croatia. The foundation will fund research and various projects of PhD students at the Faculty"s doctoral studies, thereby fostering the innovation and autonomy of young scientists. The aim of the Foundation is to provide the necessary funds for the research of the doctoral candidates of the Faculty, while establishing a system of competition, selection and financing of research topics. One of the main criteria for choosing topics will be the usefulness of the PhD research in business. Scientific research aid will be awarded on the basis of a competition, for which a candidate evaluation process will be developed, with the particular regard to the scientific quality of the proposal, as well as to the balanced development of all transport branches in the Republic of Croatia. By encouraging and financially supporting the scientific research of PhD candidates, and by creating the conditions that enable them to be implemented in the economy, the Faculty wishes to enhance the cooperation of the academic community and the economy.
