About The Script

The Script (formerly Emerging Leaders) focuses on diversifying the workforce in Oregon and SW Washington by providing pathways to leadership for underrepresented communities. The Script is meant to be a continuum to support participants throughout their career journey. The initiative includes 4 main pathways or programs, which are Intern, Associate, Manager and Executive. The Intern program connects the region's top companies and diverse college talent for a summer internship and leadership & professional development experience. The first cohort took place in summer 2016. Since then, we’ve partnered with more than 200 companies to connect participants with more than 500 internships, with many successfully transitioning into full-time roles. The Associate program is focused on supporting recent college graduates and junior level folks with personal and professional development, including mentoring, and eventually job opportunities. We will build out programming for the Manager and Executive programs overtime and share updates as they are available. Our programs and initiatives are designed to remove barriers to access and establish talent pipelines to foster a stronger, more inclusive region.
