About The Sea Aggie Former Student Network
The mission of the Sea Aggie Former Student Network is to strengthen the unity of our Texas A&M University at Galveston graduates and students by promoting the involvement in industry professional events, networking and career enhancement opportunities. The network will serve as a conduit of industry perception and provide conscientious assistance to the maritime & marine student. We will always endeavor to nurture, support and integrate a versatile mix of professionals into the oceans of tomorrow. GOALS: 1. Strengthen the Sea Aggie Former Student Network 2. Promote the interests and welfare of Texas A&M University at Galveston 3. Perpetuate ties of affection and esteem formed in university or college days 4. Assist in the integration of students into the maritime & marine industry 5. Promote the interaction of the student body in maritime & marine industry activities The specific purposes of The Network are: 1 Engage former students with the current student body 2 Create a scholarship fund for the respective scholastic disciplines 3 Establish a communication network among all students and graduates 4 Advise the members and university on the current needs of the maritime industry through its communication network 5 Coordinate with sister organizations to host, sponsor, and/or attend events to further the purposes of The Network. Any person who is a charter or bylaws member of The Association, TAMUG faculty, TAMUG employee and/or supporter of Texas A&M University at Galveston shall be eligible for regular membership in The Network. A person does not have to be a graduate of Texas A&M University at Galveston to be a member. Members should reflect any and all aspects of the many programs at TAMUG including but not limited to Marine Transportation, Marine Engineering, Maritime Administration, Maritime Business Marine Biology, Marine Sciences, Ocean Engineering, and Marine Systems Engineering,
