About The Serious Type
The Serious Type is a curated online portal for youth (ages 12 to 20) who are serious about their lives and future. The website is a place for them to share and discuss their ideas, stories, experiences, all forms of art and academic musings with the purpose of turning expression and information into action. It is also a space for educators to share their work in order to provide writing prompts, experiments and ongoing studies for self-motivated and curious students. By providing a space for serious-minded young people to express themselves and connect with one another on a deeper level, we believe they will be at a decreased risk for depression, anxiety and suicide. Submissions will be accepted by invite only in mid-December; open to the general public in January 2021.
