It all began when we received an email. Somehow we were all shortlisted for the final prize in the John Locke Institute Essay Competition! Welcome to The Social Canvas, a magazine committed to investigating the social sciences, from underrepresented topics to some of the most discussed contemporary events. Our purpose here is to clarify strange topics, raise awareness, and, of course, have fun! We hope to fill our blog and magazine issues with articles, essays, and reviews that demonstrate how geographical and cultural circumstances influence perspectives by providing a platform for students from all over the world.
