About The Social Media Project
The Social Media Project is a positive education program focused on Social Media. It was created to teach children how to use Social Media, (How to set up accounts, what to do, how to use it, what to share, when to post, who to follow) and how to be safe. By educating kids on how to use Social Media properly our goal is to empower them with the knowledge to take control of their own digital presence. Control how they are seen, what they share and how to shape their own future. The Social Media Project is also about creating partnerships between parents and their kids or teachers and their students. Opening conversations and allowing all children to have a space where they can share what they are doing and seeing online. Also, creating a safe space where vulnerable kids can come when they feel unsafe or bullied. As no child should feel isolated online or off-line.
