About The Solar Guys - Florida
The Solar Guys was founded by John and Marilyn Teel in 2001 in response to the rapid demand for quality, innovative natural daylighting products, and Solatube was the obvious choice. John holds a state of Florida Roofer's License and has held a state of Florida General Contractor's license for nearly 20 years. The Teels have been building beautiful Florida homes in the Ocala/Gainesville area since 1997. Since 2001, John and Marilyn have grown The Solar Guys from a small home-based company into the largest Solatube dealer in the United States. Our territory includes Alachua, Marion, Citrus, as well as Lake and Sumter counties. In May 2010 The Solar Guys acquired the Orlando market as part of our service area. This includes Flagler, Volusia, Seminole, Orange and Osceola counties. Further expansion occurred with the acquisition of Pasco and Hernando counties in October of 2010. In 2011, we diversified our product line to include Hüper Optik window films. As a part of our commitment to renewable energy, our employees and our customers, The Solar Guys have placed product quality, business integrity, and customer satisfaction at the core of business model. The result has been unparalleled success in the industry and we are determined to carry this success far into the future.
