About The South African Society of Anaesthesiologists (SASA)
SASA is a member association, not for gain, that is dedicated to the furtherance of the discipline of anaesthesia at both an academic and a clinical level. SASA has been in existence since 1943 and is devoted to the welfare of its members. SASA’s mission statement is "Leading the science and practice of safe anaesthesia at the highest standard and ensuring the sustainability of anaesthesiology services." SASA is the only South African society that represents the interests of anaesthesiologists in both the private and public sectors. SASA is volunteer-driven and constantly strives to identify activities and deliver services for the benefit of its members and the public. SASA members are able to meet and network with professionals with similar interests. Being a member gives you the opportunity to learn from others in the industry and realise that many of your diagnostic difficulties have been successfully managed and treated by colleagues.
