About The South Asia Council for Community and Children in Crisis
Our Mission is to Help those who need it! Change the life of those, who have no hope! India world’s largest democracy is also the largest home for the poor in the world and women and girl children generally suffer the most. No one in India is more vulnerable than a girl child. In the rural, tribal and slum communities the orphans, abandoned/neglected children and children from broken homes and girl children are the most uncared for and hence live under severe conditions of poverty without proper food, clothes, shelter and health care, not to speak of education. The plight of these children from the poorest of the poor communities is heart renting. Many of these children end up on the streets, or found attached to relatives in rural, tribal or slum areas who may not be favorably disposed to them or treat them disaffectionately. Featured Projects Homes for children The South Asia Council for Community and Children in Crisis lays emphasis in the core values in education, meaningful academic/professional intervention programs and healthy development plans and activities. Wholesome care, effective education and purposeful rehabilitation programs could only bring lasting success to a poor and low caste child and his/her community. Rural Micro-Economic Development The SAC-CCC has initiated rural micro economic development programs to assist poor families to help themselves. The SAC-CCC realized that a cow in a rural family offers economic assistance and in the long run financial stability. Hence, cow societies are formed in rural areas. Cow Society in a village in a vibrant idea by which a rural family gets a pregnant/milking cow, fully insured, veterinaries assisted and dairy linked.
