The Southern Growl Beer Company is an independent, family owned and operated brewery serving the wonderful Greer, SC community. Matt and Anna Bowes opened The Southern Growl Beer Company in 2014 as a small craft beer taproom built on a passion for good beer and service. Multiple expansions over the years have included adding a craft kitchen in 2016, moving to a new building in 2019 in order to brew beer in-house, and a brewery + patio addition in early 2022. With a laid-back atmosphere, TSG has become a place that the local community gathers to enjoy delicious beer and food. The Southern Growl team is proud to be super knowledgeable when it comes to beer, food, and pairing the two. The brewery serves from 70 taps featuring a wide-range of in-house brewed craft beers, plus ciders, wine, and house cocktails. The craft kitchen offers a seasonal, rotating food menu designed specifically to pair with beer, with a focus on sandwiches, shareables, and desserts all made from scratch. Even the bread is made in the in-house bakery using spent grain flour from the brewery. The brewery has a space for every gathering including an indoor dining room, a covered patio with an outdoor bar, and a large open lawn.
