About The Southern New Hampshire Beavers Semi-Pro Football and Cheer Organization
The Southern New Hampshire Beavers are part of The New England Football League and play home games in Hollis, NH at the Hollis/Brookline High School and practice in Milford, NH at The Hampshire Dome. The SNH Beavers were founded by Todd Harvey of Nashua, NH and David McMahon of Milford, NH... along with several other local men and women who provided assistance along the way. The NEFL is one of the largest semi-pro, minor league football organizations in the nation. The NEFL is a non-profit, tax exempt league and has been in existence since 1994. When the SNH Beavers entered the league in 2006, the league consisted of 30+ teams making up AAA, AA, and A divisions. Today the league has approximately 40 teams and has just introduced a developmental league called the NEFL 2. The NEFL 2 is a cost effective way for first year teams to join the excitement of the NEFL and a great way for existing NEFL teams to further develop players. On February 18, 2006 the Southern New Hampshire Beavers were officially inducted into the league. The following weekend, February 25, 2006 the team held its first team meeting at the Holiday Inn in Nashua, NH. The SNH Beavers began their first season in the single A division, but within a few years advanced to division AA in 2009. In 2007, The Southern New Hampshire Beavers were named The NEFL's "Organization Of The Year". In 2009, due to the strength and stability of the SNH Beavers organization during their 3 year tenure with the New England Football League the organization was invited to advance to division AA. After consulting with the SNH Beavers, The New England Football League's Board of Directors and Competition decided to advance the team to their AA division. The SNH Beavers will be playing a 10 game schedule as opposed to the 8 game schedule in single A and are also allowed ten more roster spots. The move to the AA division will provide players an opportunity to compete at a higher level.
