About The Speaker

The Speaker is an independent photography collective made up of communication professionals who aim to a fair and unfiltered information. We are photojournalists and filmmakers who believe that it is possible and necessary to do a better journalism because we are convinced that information can help create a more fair and equitable society. We cover and tell what is happening in the world and that often does not find space in traditional media. We want to give voice to those stories that are not in the news feed because are far from “us”, we are unaware of their existence, or because they simply "don't sell”. Migrations, conflicts, humanitarian crises, climate change, violations of human rights: these are the pillars of our work and the issues that we are committed to defending and supporting. We are photography activists and we not only want to tell stories, we also want to concretely help the people who have opened up to us. Our commitment is to make something real: through fundraising activities, support and networking, we want to give our contribution to help the protagonists of our stories.
