It is simple: The Story Frog empowers parents, engages children and is unlike any other preschool class; teaching phonics in a unique way which supports children's future learning. Our classes are imaginative, exciting and provide children with awe and wonder experiences through glitter filled, fun and inspiring activities. The Story Frog is an original phonics and literacy preschool class which aims to support parents and caregivers in teaching their children early reading and writing skills through play. Our aim is to develop a love of stories and learning through exciting activities which are drawn from the children's own ideas and interests. Tiddlers baby classes: Our Tiddlers classes for babies are a mixture of sensory exploration, music and singing, nursery rhymes and beautiful, fun activities. Experts in literacy and child development have discovered that if children know eight nursery rhymes by heart by the time they’re four years old, they’re usually among the best readers by the time they’re eight.” Nursery rhymes are a great way into learning early phonic skills (the ability to hear, identify and manipulate letter sounds). Nursery rhymes expand imagination, follow a clear sequence of events and improve children's vocabulary. They are a child's first stories, encouraging a love of books, ho a story is built, developing rhythm and rhyme and boosting early language development. Most importantly at The Story Frog we understand that family is at the heart of learning and building confidence and that unless children are nurtured and happy they will not learn, we understand that children are increasingly under pressure today and aim to provide an alternative type of early education which celebrates the whole child and allows all children to experience success in a fun and positive environment.
