About The Stourport High School & VIth Form College
The Stourport High School & VIth Form College is an 11 to 18 mixed Academy, serving 1321 students in the community of Stourport-on-Severn. Our motto is 'Carpe Diem' and is at the heart of everything we do as we strive to ensure that every student becomes the best that they can be. We are privileged to have a highly skilled, well qualified and committed staff who maintain excellent relationships across the school’s community. In September 2012, Ofsted judged our school as 'Outstanding' in all categories namely: achievement of students; quality of teaching; behaviour and safety of students; and leadership and management. Each year we celebrate fantastic examination results and continue to be delighted with the fantastic progress made by our students in all key stages. In 2011 we were awarded status as a ‘National Teaching School’ which has given us a reputation nationally for outstanding quality teaching, learning and professional development. We are also very proud to be a high performing school with national leading edge status in Modern Foreign Languages and PE and Sport. In 2013 we were recognised by the Specialist Schools and Academies Trust (SSAT) as being in the top 20% of schools nationally.
