The CEO of the Sugarless Co. has been involved in sugar free since 1969. The first product was imported from England and was sorbitol-based with gum arabica. The product was not very pleasant and you had to be diabetic to appreciate it! Then, The Sugarless Co became involved in the manufacturing process and developed products with a German factory the first Sugar free mint. It was sold in a display box and was called "OZ Peppermint". The success was instantaneous! A couple of years later, The Sugarless Co imported the first confectionery, a hard boiled lolly in various flavours, made with isomalt. The quality and taste were the best in the world. In 1992, The Sugarless Co. was created to supply a developing market. The Sugarless Co. is dedicated to create sugar free products along with other advantages such as gluten free, low carb etc. The taste was only the beginning! The Sugarless Co. has been involved in many world and Australian firsts in the launching of sugar free products: - First chocolate bar with only 95 calories - First hard rock lolly pops - First sugar free chocolate with real cranberries - First 80% cocoa sugar free dark chocolate, from 3 of the best cocoa bean origins; Sao Tome, Ecuador and Panama.
