The Suitcase is founded by Johnny Li and Tom Chang; two friends who share a common passion for menswear and styling. Through the years, we have placed strong emphasis in community building within Australia for likeminded gentlemen, those who share our love and passion, those who want to stand out from the crowd and from the mundanity of everyday workwear, those who take joy and pride in the beautification of their daily personal presentation. Through our journey we have noticed significant limitations in the Australian menswear retail landscape. Where our consumer choices are limited to either generic styles and labels, mass produced out of China, or overpriced European designer products, that promotes a culture of hype rather than genuine and practical fashion and styles. As such, The Suitcase pursues a simple vision, to create a platform that connects our customers with a better alternative, to bring about a new dimension to Australia’s menswear offerings, the underrated and undiscovered world of independent Asian designers. The Suitcase aim to curate a unique selection of desirable labels and brands from established as well as up and coming Asian designers; those who value style, quality and craftsmanship above all else.
