About The Swapshop

The Swapshop is a chain of shops where it's all about swapping (exchanging) of clothes and other fashion items. The Swapshop offers an circular alternative for the lineair model of discharging and consuming of fashion items. In this way we reduce the enormous waste, overconsumption and pollution within the clothing industry. This is how it works: at The Swapshop people can hand in their unwanted clothes and get rewarded with Swaps. With these Swaps and an amount of service fee, dependent on the quality and type of item, other handed in clothes can be bought. In our physical shops, but soon also online! We aim to be fully circular. Clothes that are not suited for swapping or our target group, we use to recycle into products for our The Swapshop productline. These products we will soon sell in our shops ánd online. In this way all handed in clothes eventually come back to our swapping community.
