About The Threshold Project
The Threshold Project is a program committed to changing the culture of dying in America. The Threshold Project is an educational initiative and facilitator accreditation program with a mission to enhance the experience of living for people and caregivers as death approaches. With educational encounters for professional caregivers and a facilitator training program, our curriculum serves to balance the attention given to the physical experience of dying with a very pragmatic focus on the human experience of dying. Threshold Facilitators will be trained in the implementation of discrete and reproducible tasks that guide dying people to an experience of reflection on the course of their lives, to reconciliation with their approaching death, and to the generation of meaningful communication with their families and communities.
