About The Transformed You®️
Welcome to The Transformed You® Community Interest Company. We are Care Experienced Specialist providers of an Intervention and Support Mentoring Service, designed to transform the lives and raise the aspirations of Children and Young People in Care and Care Leavers. We understand that Children and Young People enter the Care System filled with trauma, rejection and fear, and are often seen as high risk because they have complex behaviour, social and emotional difficulties, that stem from their journey into Care and through Care, which has an impact on their mental health and emotional wellbeing and on their outcomes and life chances. Our Service helps to improve their Care Experience, outcomes and life chances in the following ways: Through our 1:1 Intervention and Support Mentoring Programme we guide our Mentees who are identified as having behaviour, emotional and social difficulties, through a bespoke transformative process tailormade to change the way they think about themselves, and empower them with all the essential Skills they need to Believe and See that they do have the ability to achieve and have the life and future they hope for. Access to Specialist Therapeutic Support can be included in this programme for each Mentee. Our Care Leaver Mentees have access to Our Pantry of essential Food items and essential Household items, with all of our Mentees able to Drop In for ongoing support as and when needed. We deliver Training Courses to equip those who work in the Children’s Social Care Sector with the knowledge, skills and solutions to make a positive difference in the life of the Child or Young Person in their Care; and through our Courses, bring an understanding of the True Voice of the Care Experienced, as they journey through the Care System. We’re also the home of The Black Care Experience™.
