Providing professional independent trustee services to pension schemes for more than 30 years Trustee Corporation has been providing independent trustee services for more than 30 years. We are a company limited by shares and registered in England with registration number 02038884. Trustee Corporation is a wholly owned subsidiary of Squire Patton Boggs (UK) LLP, which is the UK arm of global law firm Squire Patton Boggs. The board of Trustee Corporation comprises 10 directors (all lawyers), made up of partners and consultants in the award-winning UK Pensions team of Squire Patton Boggs. Since 1996, we have acted as trustee to more than 100 pension schemes. We have been appointed to work with schemes that have wound up with significant deficits and others that have had significant surpluses and we have been appointed to act on schemes by both the Occupational Pensions Regulatory Authority and its successor, The Pensions Regulator. Trustee Corporation has helped schemes to comply with law and regulation and we have helped trustees and sponsors through the dot.com boom (and bust), the 2008 financial crisis and the increasingly sophisticated investment and liability management techniques that have become available. We have had some industry firsts – notably, we took the lead on the first UK scheme to enter into a longevity swap and, more recently, to adopt a cash-driven investment strategy. We are able to act as trustee for ongoing schemes and discontinued schemes. We are also happy to act as trustee on a project basis where there is a need for a professional trustee for a specified period of time, for example, where one or more of the trustees face a potential conflict of interest.
