About The Uninhibited

I love the counseling profession. I have wanted to be a therapist since I was 16 years old. I was motivated to learn all that I could about the counseling profession and help people across all age groups and in all behavioral health care settings. I graduated from ASU in 2011 with a double major in psychology and sociology. I then worked in a special education classroom for two years gaining invaluable experience in behavioral health and behavioral modification. After this I attended graduate school at ASU and received my Masters in Counseling degree in 2015. Through this journey I tried out a bunch of different jobs (one of them landing me at Apple) and decided that through those experiences that counseling is the right path for me. I completed my Licensed Associate Counselor hours in 2019 right before the pandemic. Then I had my daughter in 2020 and was promoted to the Site Director of a therapeutic after school program in Mesa and Glendale Arizona. One highlight of my time there was building a playground with the help of Kaboom! Since then, I have been in a Director role with some counseling associated with my position and found myself craving more direct client care and less supervisory positions. Thus I put my dream to work with the creation of The Uninhibited. My hope is that I can help people navigate the difficulties of life with more ease and to reduce distress in their daily lives. In my free time I love to spend time with my family and friends. I am an avid hobbiest and love to create things and ultimately want to live life “uninhibited”.
